World Liquor Importers Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya, Tokyo / Representative Director: Hisashi Imazato / ZATO GROUP), an importer, wholesaler and restaurant operator specialising in premium beers and wines from around the world, will open KAMAKURA YUKINOSHITA ROAST BEEF, a 40-seat restaurant with an on-site brewery, in Yukinoshita, Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
Located approximately a three-minute walk from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and about twenty minutes on foot from Kamakura Station, the brewery restaurant will serve four varieties of house-brewed craft beer alongside wagyu roast beef prepared from premium Japanese Black Wagyu in a hitsumabushi-style rice bowl, authentic German sausages, and other carefully selected dishes. English-language menus will be available, and online reservations will be accepted from overseas guests. Beginning on August 7, 2026, visitors will also be able to join a brewery tour introducing the brewing, fermentation and maturation processes.
【Enjoy Fresh Craft Beer Brewed On Site in Kamakura】
The restaurant houses a fully equipped brewery, including malt storage and milling facilities, as well as fermentation and conditioning chambers, allowing guests to enjoy freshly brewed beer in the very place where it is produced. Occupying a calm two-storey space featuring greenery, brick and glass, the restaurant offers a peaceful retreat despite its location just moments from Kamakura's busiest sightseeing areas.
Set in Yukinoshita, an area known for its quiet atmosphere and deep historical character, guests can savour beer straight from the brewery while experiencing the surroundings that inspired it. Conveniently located on the route connecting Tsurugaoka Hachimangu with Hokokuji Temple's famous bamboo grove, it is an ideal stop for a relaxing break or lunch while exploring Kamakura.

【Wagyu Roast Beef and Craft Beer for Lunch or Dinner in Kamakura】
The signature dish is a hitsumabushi-style rice bowl topped with premium Japanese Black Wagyu sirloin, allowing guests to enjoy wagyu roast beef in three different ways: first on its own, then with traditional condiments, and finally with hot dashi broth poured over the rice.
The menu also features authentic German sausages such as Nürnberger and Chorizo, a Kamakura ham charcuterie platter, house-made Japanese-style pickles, beer-battered fish and chips, and a selection of dishes carefully designed to complement the brewery's beers. Whether stopping by for a leisurely Kamakura lunch or ending the day with dinner after sightseeing, guests can also enjoy seasonal shaved ice desserts in strawberry, mango, or Uji matcha with shiratama during the summer months.

【Kamakura Yukinoshita Beer, Brewed at the Foot of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu】
As part of ZATO GROUP, World Liquor Importers Inc. has long introduced premium European beers and wines to Japan under the concepts of "encountering the authentic" and "faithfully preserving cultural traditions." Kamakura Yukinoshita Beer embodies that philosophy by bringing the craft of brewing to Japan itself.
The brewery was established in Yukinoshita, at the foot of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu—an area often referred to as the birthplace of Kamakura. Rather than simply serving beer, the brewery offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a drink that reflects the history, stories and atmosphere of the place where it is brewed, creating a food and beverage experience unique to Kamakura.
【Kamakura Yukinoshita Beer – Four Signature Beers】
・SHIOKA HAZY IPA
Style: Hazy IPA
A smooth, cloudy beer created with oats and wheat proteins, offering gentle sweetness and vibrant tropical aromas.
・INTERVAL ALE
Style: Mild Ale
A low-alcohol English-style ale, sometimes known in Britain as a Pub Ale, making it an ideal refreshment during a day of sightseeing.
・FAIRWIND BLONDE ALE
Style: Blonde Ale
A crisp, easy-drinking ale equally suited as the first beer of the day or the perfect final glass.
・SORYU
Style: Belgian Dubbel
A rich, full-bodied ale with aromas reminiscent of dark fruit, caramel and cloves.
Looking ahead, the brewery also plans to introduce seasonal limited-edition beers inspired by Kamakura throughout the year, giving visitors something new to discover with every visit.
【Discover the Art of Brewing at the Kamakura Yukinoshita Beer Brewery Tour】
