Dear Media Representatives,

We are pleased to invite members of the media to interview players and officials from Japan’s SV.LEAGUE during their upcoming visit to Bangkok.

Japan’s SV.LEAGUE to Stage Its First-Ever Official Matches Overseas in Bangkok

SV.LEAGUE, Japan’s top volleyball league, will stage its first-ever official league matches outside Japan in Bangkok during the 2026–27 season:

  • Women: October 10–11, 2026

  • Men: January 23–24, 2027

Thailand has been selected as the league’s first overseas market due to the country’s strong popularity of volleyball and its potential as a gateway to the wider Southeast Asian market. Through the Bangkok matches, SV.LEAGUE aims to strengthen its connection with Thai fans while building a broader presence across Asia.

Ahead of these historic matches, four players from participating clubs will visit Bangkok and appear at NIPPON HAKU BANGKOK on August 29th–30.

Thai Volleyball Stars from SV.LEAGUE Available for Interviews

Two of the visiting players are Thai national volleyball stars currently playing in Japan’s SV.LEAGUE:

  • Nootsara Tomkom – Aleeza Aichi | Setter

  • Hattaya Bamrungsuk – SAGA Hisamitsu Springs | Middle Blocker

They will be joined by two Japanese players:

  • Shunsuke Nakamura – Osaka Bluteon | Setter

  • Reon Arao – Voreas Hokkaido | Libero

This provides a unique opportunity to hear directly from the players about their experiences competing in Japan, the growing connection between Thai and Japanese volleyball, and what SV.LEAGUE’s first official matches in Thailand mean to them.
